2009 Rotaract Installation

BLUE RIDGE ROTARACT MEMBERS INSTALLATION BREAKFAST 2-25-09
The Blue Ridge Mountains Rotary Club along with the Rotary Club of Charlottesville is pleased to announce the installation of members of the Blue Ridge Rotaract Club at its weekly breakfast meeting February 25, 2009. Rotaract is a Rotary Club sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. The recently inducted officers of The Blue Ridge Rotaract Club are: President Matthew Semanik, vice president, Rob Blosser, secretary, Trisha Fuentes and treasurer, R.J.Hill. Joseph Varaksa of the Blue Ridge Club has been serving as the organizer and coordinator of this vibrant club. The club’s first service project was back in December when they distributed Christmas gifts for The Salvation Army at the TJMF distribution center. Since then they have tackled several projects for The Salvation Army including: serving dinner at the Monday night soup kitchen, bell ringing during the holidays and Shoes For The Homeless project. Upcoming service projects include: UVA Children’s Hospital, Christmas in July program, Abundant Life facilities project and Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic. Joe and his team are currently exploring international venues of service with The Building Goodness Foundation.
